Olympus EVOLT E-330 Digital camera user reviews
Cons: Lens that came with it a little weak
Summary: Well over 20 yrs ago I used my first SLR to shoot High School Year book. At that time I was in love with my SLR. Now I have this great DSLR. No more buying flim and a full featured DSLR. THe camera is easy to use and has soo many features that I still have not used all of them. THe tilt screen is great. The duel memory card slots are perfect. My HP, and Fujusti are heading for the junk draw. My new love is this great camera. "
Cons: battery life in live view
Summary: As a balloon artist I take lots of different pictures in a lot of environments. This camera does a great job in all of them. I don't lose any of the vividness of my balloons and the detail is fantastic. I've not had any problem with jagged edges or graininess. Balloons are very dusty from the talc used in their production. The dust cleaning feature is a HUGE bonus to me. I do wish the battery lasted a bit longer in live view mode, but I don't use it that often, so it's not been a huge issue. "
What's not so great: Flash
"LCD veiwing feature allows you to view your shots as you take the pictures. This feature is great and compared to other SLR Cameras you have to spend almost double to get this feature. This camera is very user friendly my 13 year old son is able to operate it with ease. The only thing I can suggest is purchasing the external flash for brighter pictures as the flash is not very bright."
"
What's not so great: Other newer Olympus Models Available Cheaper
"You have pay double to get these features on another brand and Olympus has the best lenses. As for the other review on this site both are positive but on says that lenses are hard to find? Well just a quick check here on Best Buy show quite a selection lenses and you don't have to spend $5000 as the reviewer suggest! After looking at lens prices on this site it even appears as though Oly glass is cheaper which is unusual because it is a well known fact in the industry that Olympus Zuiko lense are the envy of all the others. So with that said this is a great camera. I personally would rather have the Olympus E-510 or if I could afford the very best the E-3 which is on par with the best camera on the market."
"
What's not so great: too expensive compared with what is available today for its features
"It is hard to take a bad picture with the E-330. People getting into dslr from consumer cameras like me will love how easy it is to use for a camera that can provide the image quality up-graders crave. Olympus kit lenses blow away the competition, and their higher grade line is also better and more affordable and smaller/lighter, so I have stayed with this brand, although this particular model is outdated and more camera can be bought for less."
